Attribution : cette résolution du Secrétariat unifié de la IVe Internationale a été publiée sans signature en juillet 1977, et le texte imprimé ne nomme pas son auteur. Elle figure ici comme rédigée par Ernest Mandel. C'est la première version de la résolution de l'Internationale sur la démocratie socialiste, remaniée pour le Congrès mondial de 1979, où Mandel la rapporta, et adoptée sous sa forme définitive en 1985. La nécrologie de Mandel parue dans Inprecor (n° 394, septembre 1995, p. 17, note 3) le dit « l'inspirateur et le principal rédacteur » de cette résolution.
